Shipping sculpture to Portugal.

Many of the goods we pack and ship are privately owned and collected. One of our clients needed to ship items bought at auction at Messum’s, to their home in Portugal. The items included a collection very delicate and fragile garden statues.

We arranged to collect the statues from London and bought them back to our warehouse to pack. The packing was complex and needed the precision of a surgeon. The design of the statues meant that even the slightest jolt might cause damage to the piece, so we built a support structure to ensure that the items could not move in transit. The supports strategically positioned and padded to absorb any shocks or jolts meant that the statues were adequately supported.

Our packing team loved the challenge of building the structure to support the statues. “It was a pleasure to work on this project. There were a large number of them, but once we got into the swing of things, it was straightforward. “ explained Adrian the Warehouse Manager.
