White Sails Gallery
White Sails Gallery
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting Adam Edsall the proprietor of White Sails Gallery in Dartmouth. I was on a routine visit popping into galleries we already work with and into a few galleries that could be potential new customers. White Sails was one of those potential new customers.
When I met Adam he was friendly and warm and had lots of questions about exporting internationally. It had been something Adam had thought about and even received emails from companies about but he had never had the time to research the companies and ask the questions he had. As Adam said to me that day I was lucky I walked in during a quiet spell and we both had an opportunity to talk and I hopefully answered some of his questions. I was able to then send Adam some quotes and details by email so that he had a sense of our prices and services.
Less than a week later I received a call from Adam, he couldn’t quite believe that so soon after my visit he had a customer looking to ship 6 paintings to Jersey!! This was something Adam hadn’t done previously and wasn’t 100% sure of the process. The team at Isca Fine Art talked Adam through the process, reassured him of how the paintings would be packed securely in bespoke cases to keep them safe in transit. We also talked through what documentation and details he would need to pass onto us for the shipping process. Once we had all the details and had sent Adam a quote we were able to collect the paintings and begin the exporting process.
I am delighted to say that all the paintings arrived safely and the customer who purchased them was very pleased. She will hopefully return as a customer to White Sails and we hope that should Adam require paintings to be shipped he will return to Isca Fine Art.
Something we pride ourselves on at Isca Fine Art is ensuring that the job we are arranging is tailored to the individual customer. We will discuss packing options, quote on different shipping options while using our expertise to recommend the best solution for your needs. We understand that exporting and importing may not be something galleries, artists, sculptors and antique collectors will be familiar with so we always offer support through regular email updates and by always being at the other end of the phone. We are happy to take the time to explain the process and reassure all of our customers because at Isca Fine Art our customers and their needs are important to us.
What Adam said about the job: “As a gallery, we were so lucky that Charlie from Isca Fine Art popped in that day. I would have lost out on a big sale worth a substantial amount had Isca Fine Art not managed to walk me through the process of international shipping of valuable original artwork for the first time and help me get those paintings to Jersey quickly and easily. My customer was very happy with the entire process and at every stage, Isca Fine Art was helpful, professional and efficient. I will definitely be using their services again in the future. They are worth a call if such a situation arises for you.”
