What does a Freight Forwarder do?

Freight forwarders take on the responsibility of transporting items from one place to another safely.  They work out, with the client, the best shipment method whether by sea, road or air. Freight Forwarders will help make sure you have all the correct paperwork and will complete your customs entry on your behalf.

What are the regulations regarding exporting and importing antiques?

Each country is different. We would deal with all the necessary paperwork and customs for each country, keeping you informed every step of the way.

What about insurance?

We can provide a quote for insurance through our insurers Aviva who we have worked with for a number of years allowing us to offer you great rates.  You also have the option to arrange the insurance yourself.

Is there VAT to pay?

There is VAT to pay within the European Union only.

What do I need to provide when I call you?

We will need to know the size (dimensions) and weight of the item and where it is going so we can calculate the cost. Antiques come in all different shapes and sizes and it is very useful if you are able to send a photo of the item you wish to ship.
